The Best Places to View the Lights in Denver

The Holiday season is upon us, and there are very few things that excite children more than seeing the holiday lights. Here are a few ideas of where you can take your family to experience the lights together.

Perhaps one of the best ways to see the Denver lights in all their glory is a walking tour of downtown. Many businesses and hotels are decked out to the nines. The Oxford Hotel currently has a gorgeous window display and a real wood fire blazing in their lobby. In our opinion, Denver’s Union Station and The Brown Palace tie when it comes to who has the largest most decorated Christmas tree. Why not stop in and see both? Take a stroll down Larimer Square. You just may see Santa driving a horse-drawn carriage and hear carolers belting out some tunes. Do a little local shopping, grab some dinner, and make sure to drive by the City and County Building on your way back home.

There are also several places around town where you can view lights. Both the York Street and Chatfield locations of the Denver Botanical Gardens have events going until January 1st. Hudson Gardens is running their lights until December 31st. The Denver Zoo is also holding their Zoo Lights until December 31st. Please visit their websites for more information, hours, and pricing.

If driving around neighborhoods is more your style, we found this amazing website that lists many homes that are bursting with the Holiday spirit. You can even plan the best route that suits your needs.
